About Us CT Scan. Combining the use of x-rays with the latest computer technology, the Toshiba Aquilion creates cross-sectional images (slices) of the your body. With “slices” as thin as 0.5mm, this CT technology provides 3-dimensional images to accurately view the size, shape and position of soft tissue structures such as the lungs, liver, kidneys and other internal organs. Utilizing this state-of-the-art CT scan technology, The Imaging Center can provide: • Cardiac Scoring for relative risk of heart attack. • CT Angiography of the head and neck, thoracic and abdominal areas. • Whole body scanning for earlier detection of disease, abnormalities and conditions in the spine such as disc degeneration and osteoporosis. • Virtual Colonoscopy, a non-invasive and highly effective method of examining the colon for pre-cancerous polyps and early cancer without the discomfort of a scope.
